Bonsoir Mes Chers,
The Toronto Film Festival (TIFF) is an important festival which takes place annually and showcases some of world’s most talented film-makers. You would think that being a native of Toronto, I would have gone to see this amazing festival by now. Well the time has finally come!
Tommorow I will be catching a film called Laurence Anyways.
The film is written and directed by Québécois native Xavier Dolan.
Laurence anyways is descibed as an epic romance featuring the relationship of a man and woman that changes when the man confesses he is transgendered.
Personally, I am a big fan of Xavier Dolan’s work. He has an amazing eye for detail in imagery and he appeals to the senses. To watch a Xavier Dolan film is to be fully immersed in its storytellling. His other features include:
- J’ai tué ma mère (I killed my mother)
- Les amours imaginaires (heartbeats)
Curious?
Here’s a trailer of the movie
A la prochaine,
De moi pour toi
