Bonsoir tout le monde,
Robert Doisneau was an award-winning french photographer who knew not only how to capture moments but how to create them as well. Born in Gentilly, France April 4th 1912- April 1st 1994, Doisneau left behind his vision of the French people, his photographs capture an enormous range. I especially love his pictures featuring children running free and wild like little adults. These pictures reminded me of the movie Le ballon Rouge, which tells the story of a little boy who develops a friendship with a ballon. The movie was filmed in 1950’s and won numerous awards. I also enjoy the pictures featured below, you’ll probably recognize one the photos, entitled Le basier de l’hotel ville, his most famous work. I remembering first seeing that picture years ago I had no idea who he was back then, and I couldn’t take my eyes off it. I still can’t.
- Robert Doisneau, Le velo du Printemps, 1948
“Life is short. Break the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that made you smile!”
